Indiana Jones

Napanood ko na 'yung Indiana Jones kanina sa Trinoma. (Galing ako ABC5 nung hapon, so i thought, i-treat ko naman ang sarili ko noh. Ang layoooo ng ABC5 from San Andres ha! Whew!)

I enjoyed it. As can be expected, it's an action-packed movie, though me thinks that the chase sequence in the forest is a bit long. And how was it that there was suddenly and miraculously a clear path for them...? (or did I imagine there was a clear path for them?) Basta. I liked it. (Spielberg and Lucas still love their aliens.)

And Cate Blanchett... whoa! Now there's a site for sore eyes. :) I love you Cate! And that accent... step as
ide Meryl. How is it possible that she can actually ACT and then have such great skin... hehehe. And then remain riveting even in this grey uniform. Tama ba 'yon? :-)

Bigla ko naalala si Belen. Favorite niya si Harrison Ford e. Matanda na ang lolo mo, mader. Pero he's still packing some punch. And at least, they didn't make him romance a woman much younger than him. (Parang si Enteng Kabisote...every year, pabata nang pabata ang leading lady.) Though I miss the wry humor that was Indiana's trademark in the earlier movies. Notice the scar on his chin... I read somewhere that he got that scar in the first Indiana movie, "Raiders of the Lost Ark", while rehearsing with the whip.

The books of Zecharia Sitchin "Stairway to Heaven" and "The 12th Planet" etc. espouse the belief that aliens actually visited the earth and that they were actually the "gods" of the Mayan and Incan civilization. Anyway, watch the movie... :-)

my Palm

Haaaaay...finally. I was able to sync my Tungsten E2 with our office Mac using bluetooth. Dati kse, dun sa PC ko 'to naka-hook up. But I gave the PC na to my sister who needs it more than I do. (Old naman na kse un.) Yeah, i know...luma na nga yung Palm ko at dapat nang palitan. Pero habang nde pa legal ang iPhone dito sa 'tin, dito muna ako sa aking reliable PDA. Sanay na nga ko dito e. In fact, ang dami kong nahanap na software (utilities) for this na free. Love ko 'to talaga.

Sydney Pollack

Sydney Pollack died last Monday... he was 73. I remember him best as the Director of "Tootsie".

Wala lang... this is a sort of a tribute to him... MY tribute.

My friend...

Whenever I hear those 2 words, I remember Ben. :) He was the one who taught me how to edit on the Media 100. These days, Ben stays at Pampanga, where he shares a home with his wife and their kids. I guess, his business is doing well because I haven't seen him for almost four years now.

Today, a friend cheered me up. My plans for today was just to go to Royale and email my resumé and check my mail, then go home. She texted me around 7PM and invited me to dinner at Shakey's in Katipunan. (her treat). So
go naman ako. Pag ganitong wala akong anda, that's a welcome treat indeed. It most definitely cheered me up...

Then when we went back to Royale,
biglang nagkaron ako ng editing. Revision lang naman, so it was easy. Minsan, mas okay if you don't plan your day.
